The string academy was started by BHS orchestra International Baccalaureate (IB) students as part of getting the IB diploma we are required collaborate with other students to start a CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service)  project. Our idea was to start a string academy for any elementary student in our community. We are proud to say our first year we have a total of 33 students. We plan to continue the string academy next year if you would like to have your child join the academy please contact us. 

The string academy lessons are free. We hold our lessons on Monday nights every week at the fine arts building in Bryan high school.
